Home to Melbourne’s bohemian set, the suburb of Fitzroy is a great mix of art galleries, studios and specialist bookshops. What you can do here: shop for vintage goods and local designer pieces, check-out street arts and commissioned wall murals, people watch, sip lattes, have dinner at a stylish restaurant, hang out at a bar till way after dark…We spent two whole afternoons here, mainly staying at Smith Street and Brunswick Street, and that wasn’t nearly enough time for us to explore the neighborhood!

There are vintage shops all over the neighborhood, but a good one to start with is Lost & Found Market on Smith Streets:

Here are some shots from other secondhand/vintage stores:

Local designer stores, such as this one:

Walk around and check out the street art.

People watch.

Here are some more shots…just because I couldn’t stop taking pictures of this lovely neighborhood:

How to get there? By tram: Number 112 from Collins Street or Number 86 from Bourke Street. By bus: From the city take Route 200 towards Bulleen, 201 towards Doncaster or 207 towards Donvale.
