What it is: a grocery with heaps of shining produce and artisanal cheeses, a deli/bakery with freshly tossed salads and baked goods, and a sit-down restaurant that serves simple meals throughout the day. The idea of Daylesford Organic is simple – to provide fresh, organic food directly from farm to city. Why yes, what a lovely concept.
These window seats are perfect for a light lunch or afternoon snacks.
My late breakfast: latte (£2.50), scone (£0.89), bakewell slice (£2.49). In the same sequence: good, not bad, YUM. And what is a bakewell slice? Almond cake with raspberry jam, encased in sweet tart shell.
Not sure if the sit-down restaurant is worth going to as online reviews seem to be quite mixed, but the bakery/deli space is certainly a lovely place to drop by.
