I’m not a fan of artificially-colored food either, but you have to agree that this rainbow cake from Ricco Cafe would please a 4-year-old on his birthday. And no, Howard is not my son, but his mom was kind enough to let me have a piece of his birthday cake.
Frosting
And what does the cake taste like? Well, each layer is of a different story: strawberry, apricot, lemon, taro…etc. The taste isn’t exactly impressive (and quite artificial), but after all, this cake is all about the looks.
To accompany the cake, a cup of Earl Grey.
Ricco Cafe is located very far out in Yangpu Area so I don’t recommend venturing there yourself, but you can place your order by calling Ricco Cafe (3531 2558) and they will deliver.
