[Seoul] Garosugil 가로수길

Categories seoul0 Comments

I spent my first afternoon in Seoul at Garosugil, a tree-lined promenade that houses a chic collection of quaint stores, cute cafes, open studios, and stylish galleries. Absolutely loved it!

Fallen gingko leaves scattered across the ground. Beautiful fall weather in Seoul.

It was impossible to pick out one cafe among so many choices, so my local friends made it easy by taking me to Cafe 5CIJUNG, one of their favorite spots in the area. Read more about it here.

After some refreshments, we walked around in Garosugil to explore some of its smaller side branches – there are hidden jewels everywhere! Be sure to stray from the main road.

This book cafe called p. 532 looks like a good place to linger.

Pigs on the streets.

To get there: Take subway line 3 to Sinsa Station, exit from gate #8, walk three blocks and turn left onto Garosugil. Or,  take subway line 3 to Apgujeong Station, exit from gate #5, walk about 15 minutes and turn left at Kraze Burger.
