A simple and cozy espresso bar, opened just a few months ago in Le Marais (right near metro Chemin Vert) by Youssef Louanjli. Youssef is no newcomer to Paris’ coffee scene – he was previously at the highly praised Black Market Coffee, which he closed down for insufficient kitchen space. What you can find at the newer, bigger Fragments: beans from Coutume, Belleville, and Coffee Collective, brewed on a Kees Van Der Westen Mirage. I did not see any food on my visit, but apparently Fragments also serves simple breakfast and lunch, with a focus on fresh ingredients.
Love this corner. And the rest of the cafe space, for that matter.
Dreaming up my next pastry project with a cup of café crème (€4).
