Cafe Paddy.

The interior is filled with a curious collection of mannequins, carousel pony, skulls, and other vintage paraphernalia, but the atmosphere is far from eerie thanks to large windows and warm lighting.

I tried a cup of Bonsai Coffee (45 RMB), which indeed arrived looking like a pot of plant. I heard that the idea of this potted plant presentation was originated by Noma, though now you can find lookalikes at many cafes around the world, like Season in Taipei.

What it is: cold coffee topped with cream and a layer chocolate crumbles to resemble dirt, then decorated with a sprig of mint. The taste itself is not really worth singing about, but the presentation sure is cute.

Here’s a friend’s Mango Smoothie (38 RMB), not too shabby.

The waiter also brought us a complimentary plate of handmade cookies.

I didn’t have a chance to sample other desserts and drinks on the menu (the ones I did try were ok), but anyway Cafe Paddy seems like a good place to lounge around for those who are into this particular type of decor.
