I’ve once attempted to buy a burger at Le Camion Qui Fume, Paris’ first ever food truck (started in 2011 by fellow Ferrandi graduate Kristin Frederick). The queue looked like this:
I gave up, unwilling to wait for an hour plus for a burger, however delicious it may be. Fortunately, Le Camion Qui Fume came over to Ferrandi just a few weeks after for a “Ferrandi student-only” event. The line, as pictured below, was much more manageable.

Her burger food truck has grown so wildly, wildly popular that she even published a cookbook.

I had the classic burger (€8) but as it wasn’t very photogenic, here’s a BBQ burger (€8) my friend ordered.
Fries (€3).
And were they good? Oui oui. But are these worth an hour-long wait, which is typical at Le Camion Qui Fume’s usual locations? Well…perhaps not for the food itself, but if you bring some friends, some beer, a whole lot of patience and good humor, this might be a fun time after all.
