It’s been a LONG while since I last posted about La Pâtisserie des Rêves. Without further ado, here are my recent tastings from this pastry shop, starting with this pretty one: Charlotte Vanille Fruits Rouges (€7.10), raspberry bavarois, vanilla cream, red fruits compote, and lime biscuit dusted with matcha powder.
Then, a modest-looking but delicious-tasting Tarte Rhubarbe (€6): sweet tart shell filled with almond cream, rhubarb compote, and stripes of poached rhubarb as decoration.
Jumbo vanilla and chocolate madeleines (€2.40). It was my first time trying the chocolate madeleine from Pâtisserie des Rêves, and while it’s quite sexy with a liquid chocolate heart, I still prefer the fluffy texture and the intense vanilla flavor of its other half.
Tarte aux Abricots (€6.20), puff pastry tart shell layered with almond butter, apricot compote, beautiful apricot halves just slightly caramelized with brown sugar, and topped with hazelnut streusel for extra crunch. A traditional pastry done expertly.
