For a glorious cup of coffee in Paris (you’d be surprised how difficult it is to find one in a city known for gastronomy), visit Coutume Cafe, a specialty coffee house and roastery opened by an Australian and a French-born, Melbourne-trained coffee roaster. If you’ve read my posts on Melbourne and Sydney, you know how enamored I am with the Australian cafe culture, and I was very happy to discover a little gem like in the 7th arrondissement.

Latte (€4), with beautiful latte art, but of course.

Chai latte (€4.5).

I heard they serve excellent brunch here as well (breakfast burritos!). Will need to come back very soon.

  1. If you love coffee and as I have read love the Melb/Syd coffee scene, wait until you head to NZ. The Coffee scene there is far superior to Australia..you can even get good coffee at a McDonalds (shock horror!) Wellington has amazing coffee culture…but then so does the local cafe in a small blink and you miss it town!
