A cute gluten-free cafe/epicerie fine in Paris 11eme. Pleasant ambience, friendly service, tasty (though rather small in size) sandwiches made to order, not bad pastries and ok coffee.
“River Run” (€7.50): cream cheese, salmon, avocado, chive, dill, lemon juice. Quite a tasty sandwich – I’m usually not a fan of gluten-free bread but this one was yum – my only complaint, as mentioned before, is that the portion is quite small.
Latte (€3.70), noisette (€2.20), brownie (€3), cookie (€2.10). Coffee and pastries were alright – nothing flagrant, nothing impressive.
Bears & Raccoons isn’t a destination for me as I’m not on a gluten-free diet, but I wouldn’t mind spending more time here if I happen to be in the neighborhood. For those who are allergic to gluten, Chambelland is another good option in Paris.
