Similar to Laguna, Conrad would be an excellent and affordable choice if you choose not to spend money on something as expensive as Alila Villas Uluwatu and Bulgari Resorts. What I love most about the Conrad is Infinity, a gorgeous modern wedding venue, floating two meters above sea level with the beachfront as its backdrop. There was a wedding going on when we visited, and it seems like the venue is fully booked for the whole day. Given how beautiful the setting is, I wouldn’t be surprised if you’d have to wait months to get off the wait list.
The rest of Conrad is also meticulously designed in contemporary Balinese aesthetics and overall appears more modern than Laguna. Each of the 360 guestrooms and suites overlook the ocean, lagoons, resort or gardens. An interesting thing I noticed is that there are more Asians (read: Japanese) at the Conrad and more Caucasians at the Laguna. Just FYI.
Just like it is difficult to rank Alila and Bulgari, it would be a tough choice between Conrad and Laguna. I personally prefer the Conrad design, but you should check out their official websites and decide which is more fitting for you.
